Things with Wings

Can you believe that another fortnight has passed and we are setting another challenge at Dream Valley already? This one is Things With Wings and we are sponsored by Digital Delights.

I have used the very beautiful Sugarnellie Fingers Crossed, coloured with promarkers and stardust stickles. She is looking at a layered butterfly, stamped onto the gingham paper using my Clearly Besotted Butterfly Wishes Additions stamps and dies. I have used the bird (more wings!) and gingham papers from my Echo Park Sweet Day pad. I have used my Memory Box Hibiscus die (i use this such a lot!), punch, card candi and Cheery Lynn Vine die to make the flower. The sentiment has been created on my 'puter using Scrap Casual font - love the dot in the zero!!h

I would like to enter the Sugar Bowl - Anything Goes

I'm looking forward to seeing all your Things With Wings creations:0)

Sketch Saturday Teddy

A very quick post from me, so that I don't miss the deadline for Sketch Saturday. I used their awesome sketch for this card and decided to keep it very CAS. I think that the focus remains on the cute image.

The papers are scraps from my Forever Friends Kraft pad, with a little scrim and some Hobbycraft twine added. There is also a little platinum Stickles on the sunflower. Oh, and I've coloured it with my promarkers this time.

Hope everyone has had some nicer weather today. After the gales and rain of the last few days, we've been thoroughly enjoying the sunshine and warmth of today: park, bike, scooters, walking.....gotta enjoy it while it lasts!!

Funtime Dan the Pirate

How cute is this image? He is Funtime Dan, by Digistamp Boutique and I've coloured him using my promarkers, gloss ( on the port holes) and Platinum Stickles (on the bird's tail). The papers are from my stash, but I'm afraid I don't know the name. The sentiment is from the Dino-mite Clearly Besotted set.

I would like to enter the Digistamp Boutique challenge and Sketch Saturday (at first, I thought it was a bit of a challenging sketch for me, but it looked like it would suit the image perfectly so I gave it a shot!)

Star Wars Boy

Well, I don't know about you, but I am loving having the bairns off for Easter....so much more time to be together and do lots of things we keep meaning to but don't always have time for.....like watching The Great British Sewing Bee, or going to the park, or sewing a doll's dress, or visiting gran & grandad and their new kitten, or going to the Falkirk a wheel, or........!!
But before the holidays, Lou asked me to make a card for one of her school friends. This fab Saturated Canary image, The Force Boy, seemed perfect. I have coloured him with promarkers and used the fab Darling Dear papers from American Crafts. I have also used a bit of hessian underneath the red zigzags, for some texture. The next one she's requested is one with a doughnut on - wish me luck!!
Anyway, I would like to enter the following challenges:

Simon Says Stamp Challenge - Anything Goes

One Stitch at a Time - Anything Goes

One Stop Craft - Birthday

Ceara's Trip to the Park

I soooo loved making this card, which was for one of Louise's friends, who loves all animals, especially dogs. And, like Lou, she's not so keen on pink. Who knew that turquoise and orange go so well together?!

I used the beautiful Trip to the Park, coloured with promarkers, stardust Stickles on the shoes and bag and paper-pieced bag. The gorgeous papers are Forever Friends Kraft Notes, with a Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourish and a couple of blooms. The sentiment I'd from the Clearly Besotted Dinomite set.

So, our theme at Dream Valley this fortnight is a super simple one......Happy Birthday! And our sponsor is Bugaboo. Looking forward to seeing all your birthday creations.

Coloured Country Mama.....At Last!

At last, I have coloured my Saturated Canary Country Mama image! I've only had her since she was released! It's been coloured with my polychromo pencils and I've used my gorgeous First Edition Up, Up & Away papers. The clouds were cut from one of the papers and seemed to work. Some punched flowers, pearls, pearl dots and twine (Hobbycraft & The Ribbon Girl) finish the simple card.....hey, it's me, so it's gonna be simple!!!

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Creative Card Crew - Clouds

Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes

Saturated Canary - Pretty Pastels - and I was totally inspired by June's creation.
