Luv a Latte with Champagne - Again!

This fabby stamp, called Luv a Latte, has had her coffee cup removed and a (full) glass of champagne added and yes, I think I might be a little jealous!!  This is the second time I've done this as I think it suits a 40th so well, especially for the ladies they have been made for!.  The first card is here.

This time, I have coloured the image with my beloved Polychromo pencils and Stardust Stickles - have I told you how much I LOVE these pencils?  Yes?  Oh well....

I've used some old paper from my drawer (good girl that I am!!), layered on some pink paper as I think black, white and pink suits a party girl.   The glass and champagne bottle were from the Pickles and Onion stamp set and the champagne glass charm came from Fabfifi.  I've been a bit adventurous too:  I've cut some bunting using my smallest labels die, which has never before been used as it's so bloomin' small!  And I used some pink star gems that I've had forever too.

I would like to enter the following challenges:
Sugar Bowl Blog - The brilliant sketch I followed
Bunny Zoe's Crafts - Celebrations (2nd entry)
The Crazy Challenge - Anything Goes (2nd entry)

Astronaut Card

This is the first card I have made using LOTV's Astronaut and isn't he cute?   I've coloured him with Promarkers (for a wee change) and Glossy Accents on the helmets and boots.

My children love making things (whoever could they get this from?!) and I could really imagine them making a rocket out of cardboard boxes like the boy in the image.  And the teddy and rabbit just adds another touch of cuteness!

The papers are a mix from stash and I think the stripy one was a Summer Driggs download.  I've embossed the stripy paper for a bit more texture and, as I wasn't posting the card, I added a button with a rafia bow underneath, which added so many more millimeters than I would have thought!!  And I found the sentiment wooden stamp in my drawer that I had forgotten about (naughty!) - I love the loopy font on it.

I would like to enter the following challenges:

Cupcake Crafts - Boys and their Toys
The Crazy Challenge - Anything Goes

Sugar Bowl Challenge 77

Phew, just getting this done in time before the end of the current Sugar Bowl challenge finishes!  I've had this cute little Carnival Balloon coloured (with Polychromos) for a couple of weeks and had papers chosen, but only today have I had enough time to put it all together.  I even tried a bit of doodling!!

The papers are a mix of old stuff from stash and MME Vanity Flair (the newsprint background paper).  The heart is the Sizzix Framelits again, embossed with Swiss Dots folder.  And there is a liberal use of Stardust Stickles and some neglected pearls to finish!

Apologies for the short post, but there are a million and one things to do before Lou gets back from dancing......

Dream Valley Challenge 26 - Just for Men

Wow, can you believe that at Dream Valley, we are at challenge number 26 already?!  Our challenge for this fortnight is Just for Men and we are sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps .

I decided to dig out one of my favourite male stamps, Lazy Days.  I've coloured him with Polychromos and tried cross-hatching his hat to make it look more textured, but I'm not convinced it's had the desired effect.....and the grass could do with more shading now that I see the photo.....oh well, maybe I'll get time to alter that and retake the photo....

I have used scraps from my scraps drawer - the scallops were cut from card Papermania card ages ago, the brown paper at the bottom was an envelope and has been embossed with Swiss Dots folder.  Once again, I've used the scrim, together with some rafia and a chipboard tag I got in a set from Costco ages ago and haven't known what to do with!!  The dragonfly brad was from the same set and I found a dragonfly stamp to complement it and the swirls were left over from the Home card in a previous post.

I've used my beloved Circle and Scalloped Circle nesties and Platinum Stickles too.

I would like to enter the following challenges:
Sketch and Stash - Sketch (flipped) and neglected stash as above
Inky Impressions - Use Punches or Dies
Penny's Paper-Crafty - Anything Goes
Creative Card Crew - Masculine
Delightful Sketches - Use your Scraps (all paper, and the swirls below dragonfly brad)

I'm thoroughly looking forward to seeing your male inspired craft projects!  Happy crafting:0)

Bear Hug

This little cutie is called Bear Hug and I've coloured her with Promarkers.  I have a really soft spot for this image as she reminds me of Louise when her hair was a bit longer, and she loves her teddy too!

I've kept it really simple with some papers from First Edition Summer Breeze, scrim hear, flowers and button.  I haven't decided on a sentiment yet as I think it could suit a few different people/occasions.

I would like to enter the following challenges:
Crafty Purple Frog - Flower Power (2nd entry)
Little Darlings - Favourite Embellishments (scrim, flowers and buttons)
One Stitch at a Time - Anything Goes (2nd entry)
The Crafty Pad - The Letter 'B' (blue, brown. bear, button, brunette)
Creations by Gill M - Photo inspiration - blue and brown

New Home Card

Something a little different today, although using lots of elements I really adore......using up scraps (paper, scrim heart outlines, ribbon), recycling ("kraft" card from the inside of wrapping paper, corrugated roof and door from my Starbucks wrapper), die cuts (house, circles, scrim), sewing (cross stitch to hold scrim and die cuts), square card base, bling.......

And I'm so pleased with the result (for once NO areas I would alter, which is very rare!), I'm going to use up some blue scraps and see if I can get another one made that I'm equally happy with.

So, I would like to enter the following challenges:
Paper Pretties - Texture (corrugated roof, scrim, sewing, 3d)
Catered Crop - Hearts
One Stitch at a Time - Anything Goes
Allsorts - Free and Easy February (2nd Entry)
CES  - Lots of Layers (more than 3)
Hiding in my Craft Room - Super Scraps Saturday

Another LOVE card!

My goodness, another Love / Valentine card made!  And this time, using the beautiful image that Krista very kindly gave away for free on her blog.  I've coloured her with my beloved polychromo pencils and her shoes, rose, buttons and heart have been covered with gloss.

The papers are MME Everyday Flair, which I am loving.  There is some rafia lace, satin ribbon and dotty paper across the centre.  And I've used my favourite Sizzix Framelits Hearts to cut a couple of hearts from my favourite scrim, layered with some scrap and a button.  And I reminded myself of these red gems - haven't used them for a while.

So, with all the love themed challenges around blogland just no,  I would like to enter the following:
Creative Belli - 2nd entry - gems, button

My first Pippi Longsocks and I LOVE her!  Yep, she was another of the images I chose from Funky Kits after the Sugar Bowl.

I've coloured lil' Pippi with Polychromo pencils, Stardust Stickles  and gloss (on the cute froggy).  I really do love my pencils and need to order some more colours.

The papers I've used are Prima Alla

A Collection of Gorjuss Girls

I love my Gorjuss Girls, but I must admit that I have so many yummy stamps, sometimes they are a little neglected!

My first card is using the beautiful Just a Girl, coloured with Promarkers and Stickles Stardust.  My friend, Susan, gave me a pile of cards that I'd made ages ago, for me to recycle.  The Passion for Promarkers theme this week is Purple and Grey, so I saw that she fitted the theme perfectly.

Although I can clearly remember being chuffed to bits with my colouring at the time, when I saw it again, I was a little embarrassed.  So I've added much more colour to everything but her skin.  From looking at it now, I think it looks much better, but that I would also benefit from a lighter shade of purple too!!

Purple isn't one of my favourite colours and I originally saw the Promarker theme and thought I'd be giving it a miss this week, but as it is, I love the finished card and will try to remember that grey looks great with purple!!  The papers are Papermania Capsule Collection and a colossal pad that I pretty much hate, but works ok for matting.

The second Gorjuss card is made using a new stamp, Ruby.  I've coloured her with polychromo pencils and even had another go at blending.  Her shoes also have some gloss on them too.  The papers are First Edition Summer Bloom and the sentiment is from LOTV.   I'd like to enter this card in the Crafts and Me Challenge of Use a New Image.

And finally....if you're still awake and with me.......is Bumble Bee, coloured with pencils and Stickles.  This has been made for a little girl who likes pink and green and these papers, which I found in my stash and were free with something ages ago, fit the bill.

I used the very fabulous Sketch 42 from Sketch 'n' Stash.  I love these sketches as they can be kept simple or dressed up to suit.  As you can see, I've kept it simple - no surprise there, huh?!

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:
Sketch and Stash - Sketch 42 - pic below
The Crafty Pad - Spring Colours

 Phew, that's taken a while!  Have a great day:0)

No. 1 Fan

No. 1 Fan was one of the stamps I chose after winning the Sugar Bowl the other week and I am so glad I chose him!  He's brilliant to colour and I can imagine him suiting lots of different guys.

I have coloured him with Promarkers, using colours to suit the current Sugar Nellie Facebook Challenge:
Now originally, my image had a pink shirt peeking out from underneath the jumper, but hubby thought it looked like something else, ahem!, so I've since coloured brown it to match the jumper!!!!

I have used odds and ends of paper from stash, my fabulous scrim, Clockworks embossing folder and just look at the layout......messy-ish, huh?  Well it is for me, as I definitely normally favour clean, simple, ordered layouts.

I would like to enter the following challenges with this card:
Sew Many Cards - Birthday
Birthday Sundaes - Birthday card with sentiment
Crafty Ribbons - One for the Men or Boys

And here is another card I made using the "messy" layout and LOTV Abracadabra, made for a Harry Potter fan.

He's been coloured with my polychromo pencils and gloss, with a mix of papers, scrim and punched stars.  I would like to enter the Here Come the Boys challenge - Favourite Song - "It's a Kind of Magic" by Queen.

Dream Valley Challenge 25 - Valentine

Happy Sunday to you all!  It's time for another challenge at Dream Valley and the them this fortnight is Valentine.  Now, I must admit that hubby and I don't really "do" the Valentine's Day thing, so I opted for making a card that could be used for Valentine's Day or an anniversary.

I have used my wonderful Nestie Scalloped Circle and Circle dies and my fabulous new Sizzix Framelits Hearts.  I've also used the Clockworks embossing folder and Stickles for a bit of texture and bling.  And I even came across some tiny buttons and black sticky dots that I thought would be perfect.  The photograph doesn't really show it, but I've pleated and sewn the ribbon on the right of the card.

We are really lucky to have TWO sponsors this time: One Stop Card Crafts AND Joanna Sheen

I would also like to enter the following challenges:
Sarah Hurley - Love is all Around
The Paper Shelter - Love is in the Air
Truly Scrumptious - Love and Hearts
Anything Goes - To the One I Love
Crafty Purple Frog - Valentine's Day / Show Us Some Love

LOTV Pirate Bear and Maisie

This cute little Pirate Bear was made for Arran's 5th birthday.  I love this little teddy and he's been coloured with Promarkers, Gloss and some Platinum Stickles.

The papers are Basic Grey Oliver pad (only scraps left now), and eyelet in the top corner, the scrim makes another appearance too!  I've stamped the 5, punched a circle, mounted it onto a punched square and glossed the circle part.  And the Nesties Scalloped Circle and Circle dies and Clockworks embossing folder have also been used.

I would like to enter the following challenges:
Lili's Little Fairies - Oh Boy - Alas, too late:0(
Delightful Challenges - Punches and Dies
Crafty Ribbons - One for the Boys

I've also made a 6th birthday card for another friend, Sarah, this time using LOTV's Maisie Two Balloons.  Maisie has been coloured with polychromo pencils and is lovely to colour.  The photo is a bit blurred, but nevermind, you get the idea!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend, peeps!

Fifi - Trip to the Park

My first Fifi - Trip to the Park and I LOVE her!  She's fab to colour and looks so cute, especially with her dinky doggies and cool bag.  And is even more fun as she was part of my prize from the Sugar Bowl:0)

I've coloured her with polychromo pencils and paper pieced her top and handbag.  I adore this technique and Fifi is a lovely and simple stamp to use this technique with.

The gorgeous papers are MME Everyday Flair and I think I'm going to need to buy more already!  I've used some more of the scrim to add texture, some satin ribbon and sewn the sequins and beads.  I love the clean and simple sketch for the Sugar Bowl this fortnight!

Here's a wee close up of Fif, hopefully showing her 3d paper pieced bag a little better.

And I would like to enter the following challenges:
The Sugar Bowl - sketch and paper piecing
Paper Pretties - Ribbon and Twine
Divas By Design - Anything Goes
My Mum's Craft Shop - Fab 'n' Funky (if only for that bag alone!!)
